- If you are allergic to chlorhexidine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- Do not use in the eyes or ears, or inside the mouth or on other mucous membranes.

- Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
- This medicine is only for external use on the skin. DO NOT INGEST.
- In case of accidental contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water and see an ophthalmologist, if necessary.
- Do not use in case of deep, extensive wounds without talking to a doctor first.
- Do not apply repeatedly or use over large surfaces, with occlusive (non-breathable) dressings, on injured skin and on mucous membranes.
- It should not be used as an aseptic measure for puncture or injection sites, or for disinfecting surgical material.
- Any soaked material, gauze or scrubs should be removed before starting the procedure.
- Do not use large amounts and do not allow the solution to accumulate in skin folds, underneath the patient or to soak into sheets or any other damp material that is in direct contact with the patient.
- When applying occlusive dressings to areas previously exposed to this medicine, special care should be taken to ensure that there is no excess product before applying the dressing.
Children and adolescents:

- Talk to a doctor before using the product in children under
30 months of age.
- It should be used with caution in neonates, especially in premature infants born before week 32 of pregnancy and during the first 2 weeks of life. This medicine could cause chemical burns to the skin.

- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines.
- The use of several antiseptics simultaneously or successively should be avoided, except with other cationic compounds (e.g., benzalkonium chloride).
- It should not be used in combination with or after application of anionic soaps, acids, heavy metal salts and iodine, so the skin should be rinsed thoroughly after cleaning with these.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:

- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
- There are no data or limited data regarding the use of chlorhexidine in pregnant women.
- It is not known whether chlorhexidine is excreted in breast milk, so the potential risk of systemic effects should be taken into account.
Driving and using machines:
This medicine has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
